SkyStream 3.7 Net Metering Wind Generator
|
|
The SkyStream 3.7, manufactured by Southwest Wind Power, is Energy Rated for 400 Kwh/Month on average for a 12 mph average wind speed site.
With a Power Rating of 1.8 Kw, its the Energy Rating of 400 Kwh/Month that's used by Wind Project Planners. The energy rating of a wind generator is even more important than the Power rating. After all, you buy Energy Kwh from the utilities. Therefore, for net metering purposes, its the energy output, the Kwh/Month rating that is used for economic forecasting.
The SkyStream 3.7 is designed to respond to the growing wind market for residential, commercial, industrial, and even small wind farm projects.
The SkyStream 3.7 is a downwind machine, which means that there is no tail. The blades are always aft of the tower and are curved to lower sound levels. The SkyStream 3.7 has an internal grid tie inverter that pushes the electricity generated by the wind into the Grid. Done through your meter these kwhs exported to the grid are counted at full retail against the users utility bill.
Use the Monopole or sectioned towers of 44, 64 and 77 foot towers.
