Slow Pumps are quite remarkable, capable of pushing water as high as 450 vertical feet.
The slow pump mitigates the increase in friction occuring in the pipe. This is really a case of Less is More.
Small slow pumps of the DC type can be driven by Solar PV panels, and/or can be powered by battery banks for water pumping on demand. Heavy duty construction with cast bronze slow pumps are tough in the field.
This pump is designed to run for years with all day running.
Use of a 5 micron filter is required to protect the pump. For Slow Pumps oversize the amount of Solar PV panels you use. Compare the power rating of the slow pump, and oversize the PV panels.
