Solar PV Panels produce useful Amps and Volts.

Small Solar Power Systems seek to use this Primary Power Converter to run a load, charge-batteries, or net-meter to the grid.  Small systems are usuall for DC loads, to which plug-in AC inverters are attached for AC loads.

Solar PV panels are rated by peak Watts, under Standard Test Conditions, and are available in 5 Watt, 10 Watt, 15 Watt, 20 Watt, 50 Watt, 70 Watt, 80 Watt, 85 Watt, 110 Watt, 115 Watt, 120 Watt, 130 Watt, 160 Watt, 170 Watt, 175 Watt, 180 Watt, and 190 Watt modules.

Solar systems that run loads like continuous monitors, and cameras, must have battery banks to power the load in continuous and on-demand mode.

From this point of view, load usage can be defined as an amount of Energy used each day.  Kwh per day as a rating for a Solar Power Supply is useful because once that is known everything else can be correctly sized.

Small Solar Power Supplies can be Defined by Energy rating such as 0.1 Kwh/day, 0.2 Kwh/day, 0.3 Kwh/day, 0.4 Kwh/day, 0.5 Kwh/day, 0.7 kwh/day and 1 Kwh/day.

These fractions are used for clarity 0.1 Kwh = 100 watts., 0.2 Kwh = 200 watts
