Solar Sign Lighting

Using Solar Power for sign lighting presents several advantages.

Effectively self powering, the Solar Powered Sign Lighting kits available provide the essential equipment to capture, and converter solar energy into a voltage used to charge a deep cycle battery.

This industrial battery is used to power the lighting fixtures that may contain several different types of light technology from LED, HID, Halide, Sodium, and High Efficiency Compact Florescence.

Solar Powered Sign lighting can be sized by the area of the sign, and desired coverage and brightness.  Solar Sign Lighting systems LS1, LS2, LS4, are one, two, and four lamp sets.

Solar Powered Sign Lights require a controller.  The SunSaver10, or the C-40 are fine examples where these controllers turn on and off the lights at a predetermined schedule.  These include functions of Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) that disconnects your batteries if they have run too low and may be damaged.  And, a High Voltage Disconnect (HVD) to disconnect your charging source, such as a Solar PV Panel, or wind generator and protects your battery from over charging.

The controller also has a function that uses the Solar PV Panel as a sensor.  When there is low voltage (night time) it knows to turn on the lights.  When its sunrise and senses voltage, it turns the lights off.  This dusk to dawn function is very popular with Solar Powered Lighting.
